The Atlantic Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers annual conference will be held from the 4-6 of October, 2019, in beautiful St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. We are thrilled to welcome the Atlantic Canadian geography community to join us on the island, the traditional territories of the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq and their ancestors. Please submit a maximum 250 word abstract for an oral/paper presentation or poster (please specify; participants are welcome to submit both) online here. Conference details will be posted https://www.mun.ca/geog/ as they become available. Registration is now closed.

Registration Fees

Faculty / Established researcher: $40
Student / Independent Participant: $20

Notes about registration fees:

  • Independent Researchers are those that are not attending the conference as a representative of their employer. E.g., if you volunteer on the board of an NGO and would like to attend in that capacity, please register as an Independent Participant. 
  • Participants that are interested in attending but unable to cover registration costs should contact carissa.brown@mun.ca
  • Registration includes refreshments during the conference, and a Saturday evening excursion (details to come). The conference will begin with a casual mixer on Friday evening, and the academic program will end by noon on Sunday.

Instructions for registration:

Par exemple, si vous êtes bénévole au conseil d'administration d'une ONG et que vous souhaitez y assister en cette capacité, veuillez vous inscrire en tant que participant indépendant. 
  • Les participants intéressés à y assister mais incapables de couvrir les frais d'inscription sont invités à contacter carissa.brown@mun.ca
  • L'inscription comprend des rafraîchissements pendant le congrès et une excursion le samedi soir (détails à venir). Le congrès débutera par une soirée décontractée le vendredi soir et le programme académique se terminera le dimanche à midi.
