Commission on Geographical Education International Conference

Geography education researchers and practitioners from all over the world are invited to participate in the International Geographical Union’s (IGU) Commission on Geographical Education (CGE) 2018 International Conference to be held in Québec City from August 3rd to 5th, 2018. 

This conference promises to be an exceptional opportunity for global dialogue among geography educators. The main theme of the conference — Appreciating similarity: sharing understanding — will be an opportunity to reflect upon and foster global understanding through geography education. We invite papers especially on the following themes: geography curriculum and knowledge; pedagogy in geography education; assessment in geography education; geography teacher education. 

Deadline for abstract submission: March 15, 2018.
Abstracts can be submitted through the conference website at: https://cge-cag2018.ca/proposalsubmission/

Deadline for online registration: July 20, 2018.
Registration will also be available on-site, for an additional cost of C$50.
