Instructions for registration:
Step 1 - Enter your name and email address (whether you are a CAG member or not).
Step 2 - Select and add your registration type (under Quantity).
Step 3 - Fill in your personal information. Note any special requirements (e.g. diet, mobility, hearing, vision), if applicable.
Step 4 - Complete the payment. Payment is securely processed through Stripe Payment Processing. Your payment profile will not be stored unless you check the box next to "Securely and conveniently store card"

Faculty: $80 + tax

Standard Registration – Feb 9 to March 5, 2019

Student / CUPE staff / independent scholar: $60 + tax
Faculty: $90 + tax

Cancellation policy:
Cancel for a full refund before March 5 (i.e. midnight on March 4), no refunds afterwards.

Registration entitles you to the keynote talk on March 8th at 7 pm, conference sessions all day on March 9th, and refreshments/lunch on March 9th.

Banquet at the Songhees Wellness Center 

The WDCAG 2019 Banquet will be held at the Songhees Wellness Center on March 9th at 7pm. Since time immemorial, the Songhees People, from the Lekwungen Nation, have lived in what is now known as southern Vancouver Island. The Songhees are engaged in several initiatives towards increased social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of their community. As a poignant example, the Songhees Wellness Center was built to create services for youth and elders, amalgamate administration, and improve and promote healthy lifestyles. 

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building fuses modern architecture with Songhees culture. Visitors, approaching from the rear, are greeted by five house posts. Inside the vaulted two-story lobby, two additional house posts stand in front of the gabled glass wall of the boardroom, which also serves as the big house. The strategic design of the building increases energy and water performance through solar hot water heating, natural ventilation strategies, heat recovery, storm water reuse and geothermal heat pumps. The southwest-facing windows of the building keep the building warm in the winter when the sun sits low on the horizon. In the summer, an overhanging roof shades the windows from the high sun and helps to keep the building cool, further reducing energy costs and consumption.

The WDCAG 2019 banquet will be held in the He’Was Hall of the Songhees Wellness Center. Tickets are $55. The banquet will feature a gourmet buffet-style dinner, which will include salads, small starter plates, and a variety of entrees to choose from. There will also be a cash bar at the event, which will include beer, wine and spirits. Musical and comedic entertainment with Art Napoleon. 

There will be shuttles that will run directly from downtown Vicotria and UVic to the Songhees Wellness Center for the banquet. The venue is also located on BC Transit bus routes. Click here for detailed bus route information.
